• You must be below the age of 45 or qualify for an exemption.
• You must meet health and character requirements
• You should hold a TSS or 457 visas during the time of the application.
• You must work in the occupation that is listed on the MLTSSL or the ROL
• You must demonstrate English proficiency.
• You should have to be sponsored by a nominating employer with whom you have worked for at least three years.

Direct Entry Stream

The direct entry system is another option for the temporary skill shortage visa holder to obtain permanent residency. The foreign worker does not need to work for the sponsoring employer for at least three years.

This can include candidates who have changed jobs after the TSS visa was secured. You need to provide certain things to be eligible for this. Here the requirements are:

• At least three years of work experience in your nominated profession. Do not need to be with the same employer but it must be of the same occupation.
