1. Digital Application for an ETA Visa
Online application for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) grants an individual applicant to travel to Australia for tourism, meet friends and family and conduct certain business activities like contract negotiation or attend conferences and seminars.
The ETA visa is valid for 12 months and you can travel in and out of Australia as many times as you like. Though you are not allowed to stay in the country for more than 3 months at a stretch.
How to Apply?
➤ You can apply online yourself or through a provider of Tourist Visa Services in Australia who will charge a fee for their service.
➤ Fill in the form and submit the application online. Though the process is free, a price might be charged to submit the application.
➤ You will have to wait until you get a clearance email from the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Decisions are usually made within 24 hours but if it takes long, the department might need additional information to process your ETA visa.
2. Apply for a eVisitor Visa
➤ Should not have any criminal conviction in the past.
➤ You can only travel as a tourist, to meet your family and conduct certain restricted business activities like you cannot work for an Australian firm nor sell goods in public.
➤ eVisitor visa is valid for 12 months and allows you to travel in and out of Australia as many times as you wish within this period. However, there is no option to extend the validity after a year.
➤ It’s only for an individual application; family is not included in this type of visa. Every individual travelling must have a separate eVisitor visa.
How to Apply?
➤ Go to https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login and create an account with your personal email address.
➤ Login into your account and click on the new application button.
➤ Fill in the application, upload the required documents and submit.
➤ The Australian Department of Home Affairs usually takes 2 working days to process your application. You will receive a written notification when your visa is granted and a detailed reasoning and instruction in case the application is rejected.
3. Apply for a tourist visa
Tourist visa is for those applicants who have a past criminal history.
➤ Identify Proof
➤ Character certificate from employer, police report or military service report.
➤ Letter written by your friends or family to prove your temporary term of stay in Australia.
➤ Bank statements, address proof, documents to support your owned assets in the home country.

➤ Create an Immiaccount on https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login and fill up the application form.
➤ Attach the required documents and submit the application.
➤ Get a proper health checkup done (if the application demands)
➤ You will get a written notification within 27 days from the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
